Two Very Interesting Articles

The two articles:

Spontaneous and Schooled Concepts and Minimally Invasive Education
were very thought provoking for our local situation where we tend to force learning on our students rather that actively involving them in their own learning.

Assignment One Survey Completed

Hi everyone,

I finished administering my survey yesterday.. I was not easy as I had to sit and wait until all teachers completed the survey to ensure that they really completed it and returned it to me... Thank goodness they were cooperative...Now for the analysis...

Hi Everyone,
So I have prepared my survey questions...but I was very grateful for the help of the tutor as he made me aware of things I was not seeing...I am working on refining them to submit tomorrow....

Researching Study Designs

Hi Everyone,

I have been researching and reading as much as I can on study designs in preparation for designing my questionnaire. Here is a useful site on study design: Primer on Educational Research

Thoughts On Activity Two

Hello everyone,

Reading the article required for Activity Two was quite the eye opener. I had previously believed that ICT skills were reserved for the younger generation, but Silvia Ferrero's findings have enlightened me that people of any age, especially educators, can learn how to effectively integrate ICT into their lives (and consequently their teaching methods). I hope to learn even more as the course progresses.

Until next time, Annisha.

Thoughts on Activity One

Hello everyone,

Activity One required a lot of reading, both by way of the material presented and the posts on the discussion page. It was useful for me to process the information presented with a clear mind even though I had my own perspective. The discussion was very valuable as it in some cases validated my perspective and gave me food for thought in others. It is good to know how others see it as well.
